A Stowmarket-based startup has received a £5,000 grant through the Future Tech Programme – supported by Connected Innovation, Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils.

Carp Intelligence, a new angling app, was given the money to support the early development of its digital fishing platform.

The startup aims to connect tradition with ‘innovation in ways never seen before.’

The full details of the platform are yet to be announced.

Paul Flanagan, founder and CEO of Carp Intelligence, said: “We’re building something that blends modern technology with the timeless passion for fishing.

“This grant is a vital step in our journey, and we’re proud to be doing it from Stowmarket.”

Carp Intelligence aims to revolutionise the fishing industry by becoming the ‘world’s leading digital fishing partner’ through the use of smart technology.
