The Future Tech Programme

Supporting early-stage tech founders in Norfolk & Suffolk

Our Future Tech Programme supports underserved early-stage tech founders with critical early-stage incubation support and advice to take the founders to MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage and link them with investors to take their businesses to the next level.

To date, +£2m has been raised in investment from cohort members, with £435,000 grants secured and an additional £1m secured in commercial deals. This has delivered a +10x return on public investment.

Connected Innovation together with Suffolk County Council and Norfolk County Council led a successful bid to secure funding for ‘The Future Tech Programme’ from Barclays Eagle Labs’ Ecosystem Partnership Programme for 2024/25, with delivery partners Akcela Ventures (Norfolk) and Innovation Labs Group (Suffolk). This funding has been continued for 2025/26 by regional partners.

Connected Innovation is taking a delegation of six founders from the Future Tech Programme to Slush in Helsinki this November.

Based on the successes we have seen in 2024/25, Connected Innovation together with Norfolk County Council and Suffolk County Council have agreed to continue funding this vital support programme for early-stage tech founders in 2025/26.
