Connected Innovation and Norfolk & Suffolk Unlimited showcase our Innovation Ecosystem to a Japanese delegation

Connected Innovation and Norfolk & Suffolk Unlimited in partnership with Canopy, part of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), supported a delegation of Japanese high growth start-ups looking to invest and grow in the UK. This opportunity came from meetings at Slush in Helsinki where we were supporting a delegation of Norfolk and Suffolk businesses attending.

With visits to both Adastral Park and Norwich Research Park, we showcased the incredible innovation ecosystem here in Norfolk and Suffolk, whilst demonstrating the collaboration and knowledge exchange opportunities at both sites. These engagements were a fantastic opportunity to build international partnerships, explore new opportunities, and drive forward innovation on a global scale.

In advance of the delegation, the Inward Investment team attended an investor pitching event to showcase the type of work the start-ups do and met with Canopy to explore future projects with the team. The Connected Innovation team also joined a Demo Showcase last week where each of the companies were pitching their propositions.

Following the visit there have already been several follow-on meetings between the delegation and partners from across the Connected Innovation network around future collaboration.
