Connected Innovation and Game Anglia seek talent for Barclays Games Frenzy 2024
Applications now open for game developers in Norfolk and Suffolk
Connected Innovation and Game Anglia are partnering to sponsor and oversee a delegation of Norfolk and Suffolk game developers for Barclays Games Frenzy 2024. Successful applicants for this special industry event will receive accommodation and a travel stipend. The partnership aims to support talented developers who would not usually have this opportunity.
Barclays’ specialist Games and Creative Team ensures the bank works with and supports the needs of the games industry at all levels. The aim of the Games Frenzy is to spotlight important industry topics, create opportunities for new and upcoming UK games talent to showcase their games, and create a great opportunity to network with others in the industry. This year’s Barclays Games Frenzy is on Thursday 16 May 2024, at Barclays’ Canary Warf HQ in London.
“Connected Innovation is working with local, regional and national partners to map out development and growth opportunities for Norfolk and Suffolk’s gaming sector going forward. We’re delighted to support this delegation of Norfolk and Suffolk-based game developers, enabling them to showcase their talent and appetite to move into this sector. On top of that we will be able to link them up with publishers and investors at Barclays Game Frenzy. This is a massive chance for game developers to enter this market,” says James Allen, Connected Innovation Programme Manager.
Teams and solo developers can apply to exhibit their game with Connected Innovation and Game Anglia at Barclays Games Frenzy until Friday 12 April 2024. The short application form focuses on highlighting the unique features of submitted game and the developers’ professional approach to the games industry.
“The East of England is a little known but powerful hub full of true independent game developers, building the games industry of tomorrow. We’re looking forward to bringing together Game Anglia’s extensive network in the region with Connected Innovation’s knowledge and goals for this first-ever East of England delegation at a UK games showcase, the Barclays Games Frenzy nonetheless!” says Chris Filip, Game Anglia Co-Founder.
