Connected Innovation Tech Delegation to Slush 2025, Helsinki

This November, the Connected Innovation team will be returning to Helsinki for Slush 2025 with a delegation of six exciting tech start-ups from Norfolk and Suffolk.

Slush is the world’s leading start-up event—facilitating connections and matchmaking between start-ups, investors, and tech journalists, providing a great opportunity for founders to immerse themselves, meeting potential investors and learning from experienced entrepreneurs.

Our delegation of six tech start-ups will be selected from the Future Tech Programme which is targeted at early-stage tech founders from underserved backgrounds, supporting them to get to MVP stage and raise investment. To date, our delivery partners Akcela Ventures and Innovation Labs Group have supported 36 companies through the programme with over £1.1m raised in investment to date and c.£5m being pitched for. An expression of interest form for the Slush 2025 delegation will be provided to the delivery partners soon to share with their Future Tech Programme cohorts.

Connected Innovation is covering the cost of start-up tickets and a 3-night stay at the Holiday Inn next to the venue for each start-up. The tickets provide companies with 2-day access to Slush 2025 (19-20 November); access to the matchmaking system to meet investors; and access to Founders Day (18th November).

In advance of the event, Connected Innovation will put on a programme to support the companies ahead of the trip to ensure that they can maximise every opportunity from Slush.

Previously, the Connected Innovation team have travelled to Helsinki for Slush 2023 and Slush 2024 making some very helpful connections with other regional innovation networks and international partners, which have supported recent events such as the Japanese Tech Delegation to Adastral Park and Norwich Research Park and the invite for Connected Innovation to attend a reception at the Quebec Government Office in London. For Slush 2024, Connected Innovation took a delegation of five Immersive Tech and Gaming companies, together with Norfolk and Suffolk Unlimited and Game Anglia.
