Showcasing Norfolk and Suffolk’s Innovation Ecosystem at London Tech Week

London Tech Week provided an excellent platform for Connected Innovation to spotlight the dynamic and rapidly developing tech ecosystem in Norfolk and Suffolk. Over the course of several days, the Connected Innovation team joined forces with regional founders and partners to showcase the innovation emerging from the two counties.

A Celebration of Regional Talent

At the heart of the week was the opportunity to highlight the Future Tech Programme, which supports tech founders across a wide range of sub-sectors. Several of these founders were present at the event, sharing their journeys and the impact of the programme on their growth and development. They were able to showcase the strength and diversity of the region’s innovation ecosystem firsthand as well as their future ambitions which included engaging with investors.

Cross-Border Collaboration

The team also attended a fringe event hosted by the Québec Government Office in London, focusing on innovating across borders. This session brought together leaders and innovators from different regions to explore how international collaboration can drive technological advancement. Working with colleagues in the Norfolk and Suffolk Unlimited team we are supporting a prospective Québec delegation visit next month. This would be the second delegation to visit our region following meetings and introductions at Slush last year, following the Japanese delegation visit in February.

Partnering with Barclays Eagle Labs

Finally, Connected Innovation and Tech Educators were also featured on the Barclays Eagle Labs stand, where they engaged with attendees about the impact of the Future Tech Programme and the support available to tech entrepreneurs in our region. This collaboration provided a valuable platform to connect with a broader audience, share success stories and opportunities.

Looking Ahead

The presence of Connected Innovation at London Tech Week not only celebrated the achievements of Norfolk and Suffolk’s tech community but also reinforced the region’s position as a hub for collaborative innovation. With continued support from partners like Barclays Eagle Labs as well as regional and national partners, the future looks bright for this growing ecosystem.
